We are not affiliated with Nintex; we’ve just been helping folks automate workflows and forms for many years and want to share some insights to guide you through this transition.

Why now? If you’re here today, you’ve probably heard that Nintex for SharePoint is reaching end of life on June 14, 2026. For some versions of SharePoint, this actually already happened in April 2026. Staying where you are is not an option. It is time to take action.

What Changed in the Workflow Landscape?

Krista: There has been a big shift from on-premise SharePoint to a cloud-first reality. Alongside this, we’re seeing Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives, increased governance, and rising licensing costs—which is a big factor in today’s economy. There has also been a major shift toward low-code and business-led automation, where you aren’t entirely reliant on developers to build your workflows.

Nintex customers are planning transitions due to platform uncertainty, cost unpredictability, and a lack of alignment with the Microsoft 365 roadmap. If your users live in Microsoft 365 or SharePoint, it is critical to go with a solution that works natively within that environment.

Moving from Nintex, InfoPath, or the Power Platform over to NITRO Studio requires recreating the form and workflow inside the SharePoint space. It’s a manual effort, but we track and manage these projects utilizing our project tracking tools. We offer services to help our customers through it, often doing a hybrid approach where we share the workload.

Krista: Can you talk a little bit about the different environments that we support?

Ryan: We support pretty much all of them right now. Office 365 Commercial Cloud, the Government Cloud (GCC), and GCC High using different Azure endpoints. We also support NITRO Studio on-premise, including air-gapped and normal SharePoint subscription editions.

Krista: Is there training available for NITRO Studio?

Ryan: Yes, we have extensive documentation, training videos, instructor-led training, one-on-one calls, and even on-site training.
